Loved this edition, and the tip about resoling. I’m curious about loafers - they seem very you, Alison, and of course they’ve been having a moment for a few years. Do you think these are a good summer option? I like the way people are styling them with shorts and skirts for summer. I’ve had my eye on the Margaux NY Andie loafer, wondering if the saddle woven leather version would be a good summer shoe, and could also work in the fall and spring with cute socks? I’m partial to them because I unfortunately need a wide size which narrows my options. Hello! LOVE a loafer and especially in Summer, because they seem almost unexpected. I wear ballet flats a lot year round and think a loafer is just as versatile. These are definitely a versatile option.. have you purchased?!
Really enjoying your Substack, it’s doing a fabulous job of entertaining me on my train to London this morning. May I ask if there is a “break in” period with the Chanel flats? Or are they a comfier option from the get go? Thanks!
Alison, you could do a whole seperate article just on trending "it" sneakers! My two cents for anyone reading, a great alternative to the Adidas styles is the Converse Run Star - flat, low profile but with a little arch support, and some fun bright colours! 😉

Thank you! There was a break in period I'm sorry to say but it was short lived.. so not too bad!
